About the Role
A Trade Product Manager is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of various trade finance products that leverage distributed ledger technology (DLT) or blockchain. This includes analysing market trends, assessing customer needs, and identifying new product opportunities in the emerging field of blockchain-based trade finance. The role involves collaborating with various teams, including sales, marketing, legal, compliance, and technology, to ensure the successful launch and execution of DLT-based trade products.

What You’ll Bring
Qualifications: Master’s Degree or equivalent experience required. 7-10 years of experience in product management or program management assisting in strategic or transformational change is preferred.
Relevant experience in Digital banking, Trade Finance, or a closely related business is required
Excellent leadership skills in products, programs, projects, teams, and/or employees. Ability to manage tight delivery timelines and proven ability to execute via successful internal and external partnerships. Proven ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, structured thinker, effective communicator with excellent communication skills. Ability to crisply articulate complex concepts to senior audiences with poise and confidence
Developing and managing trade finance products, including Letters of credit, guarantees, and collection, smart contracts, digital tokens, and decentralized finance (DeFi) solutions.
Conducting market research and identifying opportunities for new DLT-based trade products.
Collaborating with internal teams to ensure product development aligns with the organisation's overall strategy and goals.
Engaging actively with various banks to design and implement the solution
Managing the product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and ongoing maintenance.
Developing product pricing and revenue strategies that leverage DLT-based revenue models such as tokenisation or staking.
Creating and delivering training materials to sales teams to enable effective product sales in the context of DLT-based trade finance.
Developing marketing and promotional materials to support product launches and build awareness of the benefits of DLT-based trade finance.
Analysing product performance and making recommendations for product enhancements or changes that leverage DLT-based features such as transparency, automation, or programmability.
Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements related to trade finance products, which may include navigating the emerging regulatory landscape for blockchain.
Developing relationships with key stakeholders in the blockchain, including customers, vendors, industry groups, and other blockchain-based platforms.
